How certificate verification works

A verification page gives a reader a direct way to check the certificate record stored by its issuer. Use the QR code or the full verification link on the issued certificate to open that record.

Open the link or scan the QR code

The QR code on an issued certificate points to its verification page on certificates.agilecode.co.ke. Check the website address before relying on a result. A copied image or a screenshot by itself does not establish the current status of the record.

Compare the displayed details

Compare the recipient name, certificate title, issuer and date with the certificate you received. If the details differ, ask the issuing organisation for clarification. The page shows when a certificate has been revoked or has passed its expiry date.

Understand what verification means

Verification confirms that a record exists in Certificates and shows its recorded status. Agilecode provides the software; the issuer supplies and is responsible for the award information. The page is not an independent assessment of the recipient, the organisation or the course’s accreditation.

Sharing verification links

Anyone with the link can view the certificate’s public verification details. Issuers should have an appropriate reason and permission to publish recipient information. Avoid including sensitive personal details in certificate wording.
