Include the essential details
Include the recipient’s full name, course or programme title, issuing organisation and completion or issue date. A signatory name and role explain who authorised the certificate. Add a duration only when it accurately describes the programme.
Use wording that matches the programme
For a short course, try: “This certifies that [Name] has successfully completed [Course title], delivered by [Organisation].” For attendance without an assessment, use “has participated in” or “has attended” rather than wording that implies a tested qualification.
Give names and course titles room
Choose a simple template for long names or detailed course titles. Keep supporting text shorter than the main achievement. Use preview to check wrapping before you issue certificates to the full group.
Make the issued record easy to check
Certificates includes a unique link and QR code for each issued certificate. A reader can use these to view the recorded details and current status. The record reflects the issuing organisation’s information; it does not turn a workshop into an externally accredited qualification.
